10 Points You Should Know About Yamaha Fz25
Yamaha launches their first Quarter liter bike in India- The FZ25!
These are the 10 Points you should know about new FZ25-
1. The FZ25 houses a 249cc, 4 stroke, SOHC , 2 valve, air and oil cooled Fuel injected engine which produces max power of 20.9 Ps at 8000 rpm and max torque of 20 Nm at 6000 rpm. This engine is actually based on Fazer 250 which sells in Brazilian and Japanese markets. For our Indian conditions Yamaha claims that the ignition and intake/exhaust system is optimized and is based on Yamaha's "Blue core" tech which insures less emission norms ( BS4 complaint) and more efficiency.
2. Yamaha claims its fuel economy to be 43 kmpl in test conditions which is achieved by Fuel injection system, optimized gear reduction ratios and Blue Core tech which, frankly, is impressive for a 250 cc bike.
3. It is having a twin tube chassis which gives it a weight of 148 kg and stopping this weight are 282 mm Bybre front and 220 mm Nissin rear disc brakes with no ABS as of now.
4. The 90x33.5mm instrument cluster adds some more features over FZ150 such as 2 trip meters, fuel reserve trip meter, clock, instant and average fuel economy meter and it has aluminium grab rails.
5. It has all LED headlight setup which is the first on a 250cc bike but already comes in Dominar 400 which ensures better safety and visibility at night. LED tail light is also first for FZ series.
6. It rides on 100/80-17 mm front and 140/70-17 rear MRF tyres which Yamaha claims have a specially formulated compound and lightweight alloys resembling MT series of superbikes.
7. The ground clearance is 160 mm and the tank capacity is an impressive 14 liters.
8. It has mid-ship muffler exhaust with successive expansion chambers like flagship MT-10 which promises distinct crisp exhaust sound.
9. It is priced at INR 1,19,500 ex showroom Delhi and will be available from early Feb across showrooms.
10. It is available in 3 colors- Ballistic Blue, Warrior White and Knight Black
