Honda Launches The Br-V At Inr 8.76 Lakhs In Maharashtra
Mumbai, 6th May 2016: The Indian subsidiary of the Japanese car manufacturer, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL), today launched the much awaited BR-V in Maharashtra at INR 8.76 lakhs for the petrol base variant and INR 9.91 lakhs for the diesel base variant.
The petrol BR-V will be powered by a 4-cyl 1.5L i-VTEC engine mated to a newly developed 6-speed manual transmission and with an option of a CVT automatic transmission. The diesel BR-V will be powered by the 1.5L i-DTEC engine mated to the 6-speed manual transmission.
Interestingly Honda has also offered an option of "Paddle Shift" in the CVT variant to add to the pleasure of driving a automatic car using a sports car inspired paddle shift switches located behind the steering wheel. Dual SRS Airbags will be standard offering across variants while ABS with EBD will be standard across all diesel variants only.
The petrol engine produces a max power of 119 PS @ 6,600 rpm and max torque of 145 Nm @ 4,600 rpm while delivering a mileage of 15.4 kmpl in manual version and 16 kmpl in the automatic version (claimed).
The diesel engine produces a max power of 100 PS @ 3,600 rpm and a max torque of 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm while delivering a mileage of 21.9 kmpl (claimed).
The petrol engine produces a max power of 119 PS @ 6,600 rpm and max torque of 145 Nm @ 4,600 rpm while delivering a mileage of 15.4 kmpl in manual version and 16 kmpl in the automatic version (claimed).
The diesel engine produces a max power of 100 PS @ 3,600 rpm and a max torque of 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm while delivering a mileage of 21.9 kmpl (claimed).
The BR-V has a bootspace of 223 litres when the 3rd row is upright while it increases to 691 litres when the 3rd row is folded down. The middle row can be folded in a 50 : 50 configuration along with adjustable reclining angle. The BR-V has a decent ground clearance of 210 mm.
